Something in my head.
My brain in me is all wrong.
I think I should be dead.
Synapse collapse I call this,
A break-down in the wiring.
The doctor said, "Something's amiss."
But it's a misfiring.
If I were a horse, I'd shoot me,
"Hey, where is the gun?"
But, of course, I can't free me.
That would be so wrong.
"I made the mute and deaf.
And things that are absent.
The reason things are bereft:
To show Me as one present.
"I choose the weak over strong.
They will glory in me.
I show the world where they belong
And show all My glory."
"You are where you are,
The place that I have put you.
In your weakness be a star.
In you I will shine through."
We're too weak to resist the Truth,
We must stand aside.
Let Him be the final proof,
Rejoice and just abide.
So like a law of Physics,
Two things cannot stand in one space.
Stand aside for His Spirit,
Let others see His face.

Author notes
"Then Moses said to the LORD, 'O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither before nor since You have spoken to Your servant; but I am slow of speech and slow of tongue.'
"So the LORD said to him, 'Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the LORD? Now therefore, go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say.'”--Exodus 3:10-12
"For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence. But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption—that, as it is written, 'He who glories, let him glory in the LORD.'”--1 Corinthians 1:26-30

wow
SO true. We are all weak and have faults for a reason. God choses the ones are misfits to make a differences sand stand out to the crowd. Jesus said the pharisees he goes to the sinners and stuff because they're the one that need him. Just like the heatly dont go to the hopstial to get well only the sick do. We go to God because we need him we our weak and our soul can be sick and God is the only who can heal it. Well done bro -
Stunning!
This poem is so beautifully put! When I am weak then I am strong in Him! The weak in Him can bring Him glory 'cause they proclaim through their weakness His Power & Majesty! In & of myself I am nothing. Thank you for this declaration of His purposes & His plan. He created vessels of all kinds for His Temple! I love the fact that you use every opportunity so well to Declare Him! Bravo dear fellow Sojourner!

And another weakling...bless you, Bob. I can relate so well to the first few stanzas, but I can also relate to the need to allow Christ into our lives and help us to find our strength. This is yet another wonderfully spiritual piece from one of my very favorite authors. Hugs, Patricia
