Dust off your pole and break out the net
Unleash Rover, your fun loving pet
Summer is here, a great time to fish
So close your eyes and cast that wish
Hope for a monster, a cat or a trout
Catch them too small, throw them back out
Watch for tree bass what a mess they make
Avoid the turtles for your bait they will take
Out on the water safe in the boat
Or up on the shore with a bobbing float
Take a trip to the ocean or even the lake
And see what memories fishing can make
So dust off your pole and break out the net
Unleash Rover, your fun loving pet
Summer is here, a great time to fish
Now close your eyes and cast that wish

Excellent poem, and it is clear what you like to do in summer. The meter while largely very good slips in places but the rhyme is perfect. If this is an example we both look forward to reading your entries in later rounds.
