Envy

Her Heart frozen over
By Jealousy’s Wintriness
Her Tongue Eager to
Draw Blood from a Rival’s Heart

Found in Winter’s Bitter Core
Caterer to the Child’s Tantrums
Lover to the Wolves’ Resentment
Here Envy Hides

Her Eyes, Dark Pools of Man’s Displeasure
Her Lips, Whisperer of Malicious Scandal
Her Hands, Subtle Strokers of the Heart’s Inner Turmoil
Her Skin, so pale from Anguish’s Longing

Lover to the Evil Spirit’s Discontentment
Curse to Summer’s Earthly Sweetness
Dark Winged Creature of Hostilities
Here Envy Hides

  • Your last lines are really good. I agree with bob. Envy has taken over society.
