Lying the Earth
Becoming one with nature
Forgiving the imperfections of life
The troubles and the sorrows lifted away
The roots of the grasses twisted
Through fingertips of white
Protecting, holding dear
The way life
Never did
The lustful breezes
Swaying the tender blades of grass
Flowers blooming in flawless perfection
Surrounded by beauty
Peaceful and
At ease
The soft Earth
Brown and warm
Holding me dear, still, and safe
Warm and alone
But missing
Nothing
Missing not
Society and judgment
Missing not
Life.
Life is lovely
But death
Beautiful.

Wow this was so beautifully written!!! I love where you took the quote prompt. You created feelings of serenity in death, conveying that life may be lovely, but death- beautiful. Wonderful write!! These lines stood out for me most
"The soft Earth
Brown and warm
Holding me dear, still, and safe
Warm and alone
But missing
Nothing"
