Skin is tinged yellow
Breaths come in too fast
When I stand the room spins
The other day I even collapsed
I hear what you tell me
How I can't just keep living
On two liters of diet coke
And endless cups of black coffee
How my blood pressure's orthostatic
And my heart rate's too fast
How the last EKG came back funky
And your scared I'm gonna die
of a heart attack at age sixteen
I hear what you tell me
But I still can not
Bring myself to eat
I know the endless hours
I spend on the rowing machine
And the push ups and sit ups
Are only killing me faster
But when i step on that scale
And the number reads seventy five
The emptiness inside of me is filled
You talk of involuntarty hospitalizations
You drag me to the doctor
who threatens forced tube feedings
and I know nobody's kidding
But when my double zero jeans get too big
I feel this euphoria that's just so worth it
I guess I'll just have to die of starvation
Cause that's all I feel like I'm good at
