Love’s Constant Plight

It was a sudden attraction and possessed me too soon.
His eyes fiercely green pierced through the night,
Brighter than light from the new spring moon.
His face glowed ablaze, and distorted my sight.
Endless seemed the passion we put to use
Spring burst into summer’s bloom, and the daybreak was greeted with doves.
Within your embrace there was nothing to lose.
Never sweeter was the rain; by my side was my love.
For only spring and summer something so pure could last.
His kisses took flight with the geese, forsaken love notes,
and dreams all fade into the past.
And upon the heart's list, his name I wrote.
It’s how love happens every time,
By winter he becomes a distant memory of mine.

Please tell me what you thing
