I walk along the seashore,
the smell of salt in the air
I remember the beauty,
of the sea breeze in your hair
All the memories in this place,
are all so wrapped up in you
How could I ever forget,
the love I thought was true
Maybe it was just a twist of fate,
now your hand has let me go
I wish that I could explain why,
but it’s far more than I know
Your smile lingers on inside my mind,
as I walk through the sands of all time
Two hearts that used to beat as one
now skip a beat and no longer rhyme
I know that you can not hear me,
but I shall say it upon this ocean breeze
That the loss of all your sweet loving,
has brought a grown man to his knees
Perhaps time will heal these wounds,
that have now pierced me through the heart
I feel this hollow, cold emptiness inside,
that reaches out to touch my every part
Now I slowly turn back to that place,
where my heart loved you once before
I know that I must walk right through,
turn around, and forever close that door
