Plastic Smile

Plastic Smile

A plastic smile
and barely warm love
was all I could pull
from the you
that I had come to love.

So many emotions, yet shallow
in their depths,
cried rivers of false tears
into pillows of unrest.

Never enough, could I do
tried and lost in vain
my love for you
taken and cut upon
left bleeding and dying while
you walk away and
smile.

  • This is very beautiful, the sadness in this pulls at my heart. The poem is very deep and I can tell it is written with much emotion.
