Symphony of Olivia

Missing image
A symphony of color
plays upon the mind;
strings evoke the beauty
the seeking soul does find.

Eyes that see the splendor,
heart to love the hues,
pen to write the homage,
nature the true muse.

Every species, winged or footed,
known intimately by name
as writer saunters down the trail
greeting all, wild or tame.

The spendor recorded lovingly
by this writer most fervent,
splashing color of her environment
ever creative, ever observant.

This symphony of Olivia
plays out upon the page
celebrating her very being,
her heart and soul onstage.

      Than you, dear maa.

Olivia's poems paint color on the page
as she describes the beautiful landscape
that surrounds her, as well as, in great
detail, the animals she sees each day.

Now Olivia I have heard of, I read a couple of her poems a while back so you won't need to explain who she is...I won't threaten to investigate her.

Oh, btw, a great rule of thumb with me, ignore everything I say.

Except when I make sense...which I do in the following:

You have a skill, well, I'm sure you have many, but right now I mean in how you care to see people here on AP...it's in the desire to do so. I attempt to see people through their writing, and of course so do you, but there's more for you...you seem to grasp who they are through less obvious ways...how they're pages look, what they do, little gestures in their words...not the content only, but in the inflections. Who knows how else...maybe ESP.

But however you do it, you've done it again.

Ah, Keystone, never ignore! I'm too smart
for that, as I recognize the wit and wisdom
      in your commentary!

Perhaps it is the P in ESP, perception,
perceiving all elements, the seen and
      the implied.

And I appreciate your perception, the time
you take to look at the big picture and
      to see the small details.

Thank you for your interesting words!

I don't know which one is nicer, the poem or the drawing. Both are beautiful anyway. This month, so many people celebrating their birthdays, and so many poems that show how lovely friendship can be.
You are so gifted with your talents and most of all, with your tender way to show how much you care

Brida, thank you so much for the kind words!
Capturing the spirit of Olivia means
gathering all the colors she describes
in her poetry. It seems she knows the names
of every colorful winged, four footed, or
aquatic creature in color-drenched tropical world.

      Your words are much appreciated!

      Oh, you found it already!

I tried to draw a blue heron,
but he is a sad color,
      I tried the State Flower,
      orange blossoms,
      but they also, so white,
      no color.
So I winged it, coral hbiscus
      and some ferny fronds---
      more reflective of the colorful
      pieces you create!
