Winter's here, it's freezing cold,
Christmas trees are red and gold.
Snowflakes, snow and icy blue,
New year's close and spring is too!
Robins flying tree to tree,
Huskies running wild and free.
Barn owls hunting every night,
Snowdrops growing out of sight.
Sleighing down the largest hills,
Parents have humongous bills.
Misletoe above the door,
Children wanting more and more.
Snow capped trees, bare to the bone,
Frosted leaves upon the stone.
Ice skating on frozen lakes,
Paties, fetes and chocolate cakes.
Silver, blue and also green,
Windows have a slight white sheen.
Fairies, angels, golden stars,
Fruits and sweets and chocolate bars.
Winter's here, it's freezing cold,
Christmas trees are red and gold.
Snowflakes, snow and icy blue,
New year's close and spring is too!
Author notes
I know this is the wrong time of year for Christmas poems, but I wrote it for a magazine, and have only just had time to put it up.

The rhyme does not sound forced at all, which is good, and while it's nearly June, I still enjoy the occasion Christmas poem.
, good job, it made me want to go caroling, haha.
