I call your name and you don’t look back.
Why do you walk away?
Am I that much of a horrible person?
Can’t you see that you are hurting me?
The way you look at me and then turn away from me.
It breaks me heart every time you look away.
Did I do something or say something to anger you or disgust you?
Or is there someone else?
That’s it, I see the twinkle in your eyes.
You love someone other then me.
I understand why you are leaving me now.
I understand why you could not stay with me.
It breaks my heart to know that there will be someone else that will be keeping you warm at night.
I understand that you don’t won’t to stay with someone you don’t love.
I hope we can still be friends.
I see you shake your head and start to walk away for the last time.
And I whisper to you “I love you, and I will see you in the next life.”
