Silhouette Smoke
Little things are evident
In everything we see
And all that we’re apart
In one or another
Join me for a moment
Light a cigarette,
And try to see this
Through my eyes
A simple anomaly,
Always apparent,
But never noted
For its natural beauty
Like shadow upon light,
Or a trail of luminescence
Within steady darkness,
Altering to its surroundings
A curious silhouette
Encased in various apparitions,
From rippling rings
To engulfing clouds,
So in short,
Spend time to appreciate
Things we take for granted
And find beauty within the mundane
This is my thought
And so I’ve spoke
As I finish my cigarette
Within silhouette smoke
Please tell me what you think

I am not a smoker but as visual artist, I can relate to this fine poem.
