after they acquire the word "why?"
The potty is the boggy man,
But the boggy man lives in the closet.
Killing ants is a no-no,
But daddy has to kill the cricket.
Everything that happened before,
Happened yesterday.
Everything can be done alone,
Except going potty.
No matter how many lights are left on,
The hall light is the only one that matters.
Ever notice, that they are so small,
But always seems too big.

I didn't care for the use of "potty" in this poem, it seemed a bit juvenile. Perhaps it was what you were going for, it just didn't appeal to me. The rest though, I felt was fine. A nice poem that you have written here.
