inside this box where my mind is kept,
i cannot see any way out.
on the cellar floor,
the chains weigh me down.
i am a soul,
trapped inside a body,
which is not mine.
faces scream at me,
bodyless, and faint.
i search around,
to find a window out.
i am a soul,
trapped inside a body,
which is not mine.
i drag myself up,
to a sitting position.
i am weak,
but strong enough to fight.
i am a soul,
trapped inside a body,
which is not mine.
