Baby Sister

 

I am beautiful, defenseless
compared to the rest of those like me
I love life and smile daily
I cry when I am wet and cry
when I want to be fed
I grow up to be big and strong, just like Daddy
Go to school and learn to obey the rules
Go to college when I become a big boy
Just like Daddy

I am beautiful, defenseless
like most of those who resemble me
I want to grow up and be gorgeous
Just like Mommy
But I don't have a voice
I was silenced before I had a choice
to be goth or punk or slutty
Big brother, cry for me
I know you wanted me
Baby sister, who was aborted

Tears display the way we feel
But they don't take our choices back

    oh boy. This is really good!!! Hit close to home. I've had friends who did this and it breaks my heart. It's disgusting and I think it should stay illegal (my opinon!). Tear jerking write.

    I agree with kiwi this is a poem that really pulls at the heartstrings and makes you want to cry. Beautiful poem.
