Under the midnight moon

Not a star in the sky,
It was you that caught my eye.
It was that perfect half smile,
the way you noticed me every once in awhile.

Tonight was the night I'd show you I cared,
as I stared into your eyes.
I was suprised by how beautiful I felt with you.

You pulled me close as we swayed to the music.
My arms around your neck,
your hands along my back.
I showed my lack of care for the world around me.

Finally it was just you and me.
The way I wanted it to be.
We let the music play
and our bodies sway as one.

Beneath the midnight moon we danced.
Lost in your smell I was in a trance.
Held tightly in your arms I danced
letting you lead me.
Letting you need me.
