What The Hollow Caused

Hitler dictates his final solution:
It is time for the right evolution!

R.I.P.'s are put in terminal trains
where trains of thoughts strain
not to derail off life's track
because there will be no way back.

They travel through Nazi Nation
and ride towards Dead End Station.
In camps, Germans concentrate
on how to exterminate.

(Pre-Chorus)
Victims lie on crosses,
as crooked as biased minds.
One man is Colossus.
The rest is four of a kind.

(Chorus)
We go left, right, left, right, left, right, left.
They left their homes to fight for last rights.
We go right, left, right, left, right, left, right.
It's not about who's right but who's left.

Cyclone B hits Europe with great force.
It kills Germany's worst dark horse.
For Mengele's plans, stars are turned into rats.
Alive or dead, there are no medical stats.

Shot stars come with six with six zeroes,
wishing for starred and striped heroes.
Satan's Servants strike like lightning.
Fast, ferocious and frightening.

(Pre-Chorus)
(Chorus)

Some say this is all a myth,
made up by Western wordsmiths.
The Hollow are still in denial
but they know what letter to dial.

They can't polish filthy facts
about the immense impact.
Is there a way to decline?
The simple answer is nein!

(Pre-Chorus)
(Chorus)

Author notes

- Cyclone B /Zyklon B = the gas that is used in the gas chambers.
- Josef Mengele = head physician of the Nazis.
- dark horse --> nightmare
- six with six zeroes --> around 6,000,000 Jews were killed during the Holocaust.
- letter to dial --> Dial M for Murder, a film by Hitchcock.

Dude, that is awesome! I love history, and it takes a good author to impress me with historical stuff within poetry, and you did it for me! This is amazing, I love the chorus; it reminds me of Skillet's song "Looking for Angels". I'm surprised you didn't win a trophy in your previous contest, but I see that whitemask holds your poem in high regards for hers! Good luck!

This is a really great poem, but I'm not sure I can imagine it set to music just yet. The Holocaust was an atrocity, and you seem to know enough about it that made this a very powerful piece.
    Great write.
Thank you for entering and all the best in the contest.
