I picked a flower just for you
to brighten up your day,
I think of you most often
and in my heart I pray.
I hope for you all the best,
may everything go your way,
difficult times will pass
just take the time to play.
The light inside a child
is closest to the Lord,
innocence is at hand
and the world is explored.
Be like that little child
sensitive and meek,
humbleness is a part
that doesn't make you weak.
You're strong in the Lord
through faith you'll understand,
when you feel sad and lonely
the Lord will take your hand.
Let the Lord be your strength
and a guide in all you do,
Heavenly Father has a plan
He wants to help you too.
A lonely heart is not ignored,
faith will get you through,
whatever you do stay in His light
and He will always be with you.

Thank you for your entry. I loved the fact that you were one of the few entries that adressed the issue of hope from an outside perspective. I sometimes felt that your rhyme was a little bit forced, but other then that I enjoyed your poem very much.
