"Darling, This is your shelter
this is your home now.
Accept the facts."
What they didn't say,
is what they really wanted to.
It's alright though, because I understood
the subliminal content.
"This time, you won't get better,
It's not that easy.
This will all end with the barrel of a gun"
But, Baby, I'm too arrogant to die
and this lipstick is still fresh,
So lets step away for a moment and watch the stars
pretend we know what they mean.
I'm just a little tipsy,
just a little morose-
but that's okay tonight.
Tonight, the liquor is strong
and the flowers so lovely,
everything is alright
in my world at least.
If I die tonight,
I'll have your complacent attitude to remember.

I'm dying of love, it's okay
Both words and the slight theme of Drug rehab
Be harsh, be specific.

I really like this.
Though the words were a bit forced at certain times,
it worked well with the drunken feel of this poem.
I enjoyed it.
