And It Seems As If Life Itself Is Thee Illusion.

it's all an illusion
the dark
the light
the paint
the fate.

the happiness we force.
to go along with our fake smiles.
just to convince people
that everything is okay.
when in fact,
it could never be worse.

the things that are going on in todays society.
the war
the hate
the crime.

and so it seems,
the things often preached
are rarely ever practiced.
and this is such a deep mistake.

the sex.
it sells.
it makes being all loosey goosey
seem okay.
so when a 13 year old  is pregnant.
who's to blame?
the girl?
the boy?
the mom?
the dad?

what about the media?
the radio?
the screen?

it's all an illusion,
this great society bull shit.
people hide who they are
for fear of being judged.
we bite our tongues
for fear of conflict.
for fear of being hurt.

what sort of world is that?
when we can't just be ourself
and not worry about what our neighbor
or our god will say?

and is there such thing
as this man they call god?
when theres so much unnecessary negative
going on.

we're at a stupid war.
a battle that should have already be put to an end.

getting phone calls requesting
to put the peace sign to an end.

kids are living
starving on the streets.
kids who pray daily.
because they feel god is all the have.
do they go to sleep every night feeling let down?

it's all just a misconception
can never tell if it's fact or fiction.

it's disgusting knowing
that you can be walking down the street
of any major city
and some one gets the shit beat out of them
with tons of people just walking by
like nothings happening.

knowing that people steal,
for no reason whatsoever
causing others to loose their jobs.

knowing that someone can have the nerve to sit there
and tell you your opinion is wrong.

what is up that?

this happy society,
has all of a sudden started to feel so fake.
like the feeling where you're just standing in place
watching as everything races by.

the feeling that your out of your body,
watching your life get thrown away.

is there time to stop this reoccurring mistakes?
is there time to switch the track,
and show these kids what right from wrong really is?

or is this where our society is headed?
because from my side of the fence
it looks like a big black abis
of chaos
hurt and pain.
