You didn’t need to promise me the moon, you know,
Nor build me a Taj Mahal.
You needn’t bring me buckets of roses
(Though I wouldn‘t mind a few, at all).
You didn’t need take me on a moonlight cruise,
Nor fly me to Paris with you.
You needn’t buy me gold or diamonds
(But I’ll take them if you do)
You didn’t need to say you’d swim the ocean for me
Nor find a mountain to climb.
You needn’t write me flowery letters,
(But poems with rhythm and rhyme?)
I’ve always loved you, anyway,
Though gifts and promises you may never send
From our beginning, clear through now,
until the world shall end.

THis was beautiful, it really captures what love is all about, it is not wanting, it is just sharing the love between people and if by any chance they get you anything, it is an added bonus
thank you for entering and good luck....xxx
