Its been a while since I could hold my tray up high,
And Its been a while, since Betsy sat you.
Its been a while, since Chris threw a coaster at my head,
And its been a while, but I still will charge a dollar for that bread
And every order I remember,
As jumbled as they all may seem
I hope that Erik will surrender,
His card for two five off fifteen’s…Yeah.
Its been a while since I slipped and dropped a massive tray of food,
It’s been a while since twelve’s been rude.
It’s been a while, since Donald made a comment about my ass
And Its been a while, but all our employees, they love to smoke their grass
And every table I remember
Has tipped me less than 10%, today, I know they’re cheap
I cannot blame this on Melina,
She made some darn good LIT’s
Why must they be this way,
Cory make them go away,
Just five more bucks today.
It’s been a while, since I stopped running for table 24
And its been a while, but I’m sure we’re out of whatever they asked for
Its been a while, since the mustard splattered on my face,
And it’s been a while, but I can still remember how the sirloin tastes.
And every tip I can remember,
Has been a buck fifteen it seems, to me I know it’s mean
Hey Pepe can you wash that silver,
I have to roll some forks again…
It’s been a while, since I went to IHOP with the gang,
And its been a while, since I said, “I’m leaving.”
And Its been a while, since Betsy sat you.
Its been a while, since Chris threw a coaster at my head,
And its been a while, but I still will charge a dollar for that bread
And every order I remember,
As jumbled as they all may seem
I hope that Erik will surrender,

Author notes
Fellow AP'er TabbyJoy and I used to wait tables at Bennigan's resturant. This is just a little something we cooked up in tribute to our favorite job of all time...even thought it did stink from time to time. Read it (or sing it) to the familiar tune of "It's Been a While" by Stained.

Never waitress
This poem puts me in the mind of the overworked, underpayed waitress. I always wondered how hectic and complicated their job was, and this poem gives me an inside look. -
Frickin Genius
This still made me laugh after all these years. O my word those were the days. I think we could fine tune the flow on this one a little...but the content is incredible. Any fellow Bennigan's workers out there?
