And it brushed away the hurt
You gently grasped me hands

I laughed when you tickled me
As you bandaged up my cheek
then you looked me straight in the eyes
And promised me it wouldn't happen again

So I stayed with you another night

When you yelled at me and told me
That I was a worthless piece of shit
When you accused me of cheating on you
When you grabbed my arm and wrenched it
So hard that I heard a sickening pop
I told you it was the last straw
I told you I couldn't stay with you

But then you told me you loved me

But by then it wasn't enough
with a wild eye I turned away
from those wide open eyes of yours
Oozing crocodile tears and lies
I picked up the phone and dialed
three numbers a nine a one a and one
I threw your things down the stairs
and told you enough was enough
your love left me blanketed
in bruise and insanity
