Can Never Be

We dance upon the solid ice,
each step we take melting it quick,
we take a passionate sound step,
hearing the gentle uttle of the ice behind us.

As we dance on,
we hear the sudden chimes of the bells,
and passionate crys of our hearts,
each of us wanting to touch,
let our hands brush,
our lips caress together.

As we go to part,
something holds the two,
she parts her lips to speak,
the words do not depart,
He waits for the silent words,
non spoken between the two.

Their eye meet,
their lips part,
But yet there words do not depart.

As the two take gentle steps,
beyond the sensible coldness,
She cries a tear of warmth,
the tear she wishes for him to touch,
the tear that tell the feelings she holds,
The tear she now know he can not feel.

She walks along the cobbled path,
down beyond the willow trees,
but as she walks along though willow trees,
she feel the limbs,
rip the only thing she had to herself,
she now knows they can never be.
