Her gentle soul
reaches out to all
in rainbow colours
with grasp so pure.
In dark of night
her star shines bright,
in faith to follow
to guide the way.
The spirit of nature
with emotions touch
in tender care
her heart embraces.
A quill to dance
across clear parchment
words come to life
in bonded truths.
A ship of salvation
through stormy seas
with hand outstretched
all shall prevail.
This steadfast friend
speaks words of hope
for trust in her
never will be misplaced.

I am left speechless by all the beautiful words written for me. If there is a stronger word than humbled, I am that as well. You speak sheer beauty and I just hope I am worthy of living up to all that, all I can do is keep trying. But it is by the honour of knowing poets like you and those that wrote that I am reminded everyday WHAT it alll really is about. you do want me to cry , don't ya? I am so honoured, so flattered and humbled all in one, and please know that each word of this applies to you as well. I have not been on much [ a little sojourn for Spring and to clear my head from recent events]Not sure if you know that on x-mas morn I found out that my mom had passed away in Europe....mother in law was living with us [final stages of cancer and she dies on Feb 12th}Soooooo much to sort out....[MY mom] was such a caring and gentle loving woman [Hope I do not need to say more]My state of mind is totally screwed up.....I was not there for my mom....was doing what I HAD to do here , not WANTED to do...and now because of anger and bitterness and sadness I am sort of numbed and I wonder and it scares me that there just seem to be no tears within me to grieve the one I so loved. I do not know myself anymore it seems. But enough of that....just a big hug and thank you for being able to touch me [it shows me I am still in there somewhere]
