I lived in a small town
Which was named after a noun
I worked for the mine diggers
They were awfully very rough
But luckily I found some gold
Then I was tough
Then I bought a wonderful house
But then along came a mouse
It scattered across my home
I found it and put it outside
I was there alone
3 years later...
I found my true love
I felt as blessed as a dove
There I stood no longer alone
Know I was truly known

You did a great job! Thank you for entering my contest. You were awarded 300 points for the youth award. I really like animals and the mouse was funny. Your history was good and you had romance. what more could a lady ask for?

Nice job young man, good use of image creation, imagination and non-traditional rhyme scheme. Shows the hallmarks of a poet in the making, as there is meaning beyond that in the words used in the poem. Keep up the good work mate
