Sometimes i watch you while you sleep... "can you see me?"
and i wonder if i've gotten myself in too deep... "do you?"
But when you awake, look and smile at me... "I've been watching you"
I know that could never be... "could you feel me?"
We have somethiing wonderful, something great...
"is it greater than love?"
Something that just couldn't wait... "we never could"
I know you are watchiing me while i sleep
I know you wonder about us
I know, because when i awoke i saw you
and you told me you've been watching me
I know because i heard you whisper... "Can you feel me?"
I know because you show me each and everyday
by filling my heart with hope and love...
while waiting to watch you sleep...

a good poem, i think many watch their partners sleep, to smile as they dream away, comfortable in their bed, knowing they are safe.
