The moon crept closer than ever
and the trees bowed out of the way.
Under the full moon’s glittering gaze
I drank in your cider kiss.
Parted mouths and ragged breath,
we swayed on the spot.
Gleaming light poured down our throats,
as my lunar companion sipped fermented stars
and we plunged willingly
into the desperate intoxication
of the moonbeams on our shoulders.
When you drifted off, I drank in
The flutter of your lashes as you dreamt.
I am a lush. I could drink and drink
And never be satiated.
