Four Daughters of Mother Nature

Four maidens fair

Spring, Summer,

Fall, and Winter

all impart their beauty

to Mother Earth in turn

Fair Maiden Spring

she is the bearer of rebirth

the season of renewal

whose gentle rains

replenish Mother Earth

and return her to

lush greens, and vibrant

hues of the rainbow

She brings to life

all blossoming flowers

and budding leaves

birds twitter showing

off their young

she renews all, the cycle

of life has begun

Fair Maiden Summer

she is the bearer of growth

the season of youth

with long days

and sultry nights

she is the sun maiden

laughing with

the deepening

greens and golden

rays

She takes Mother Nature

into her prime when

the children of

nature grow to

become strong

perfume scented flowers

trees swaying in the breeze

Fair Maiden Autumn

the bearer of the Harvest

she is the season of reaping

when Mother Earth

reaps all that was sown

the days shorten

and become brisk

The leaves begin

to turn and the

Harvest Moon shines

bright, now is the

time preparations for

sleep after seasons

of growth and play

Fair Maiden Winter

the bearer of death

she is the season of completion

the Ice princess

exhaling her frosty breath

slowing all down

for a final rest

the etchings of time

are truly shown on her face

Barren trees and  shriveled flowers

are covered in ice

the ground hard and unyielding

is blanketed in snow

these are the shortest days

and the longest nights

rest for weary Mother Earth

Mother Nature's four daughters

serve their Queen so well

helping her to care

for God's Earth

lending their joy

for His children

Nature poetry at its finest here, such lovely descriptions of the four seasons. Almost like a song.

    Wonderfully Expressive!

It was a pleasure to read and experience this poet's interpretation of the seasons. I feel blessed to have been allowed to see this aspect of life through her eyes. May God continue to bless and inspire wonderful poetry such as this.

AHH the hardest maiden of death and winter... very difficult to express the internal times that she represents, means work, to (win)t(ime)er yet for the trinity you have done very well with lush visions and beautiful ceremony, and so blessed be
