One day,
the pain will go away,
that's what they say.
Truth is,
it'll never go away,
it finds a way to stay.
Almost a rebirth,
without the innocence of youth,
when you've lost the way,
to keep the only thing of worth.
One day,
the pain will go away,
that's what they say.
Truth is,
it'll never go away,
but I'll find a way,
for me to be okay.
Almost a rebirth,
without the innocence of youth,
when your forced to see,
all but the truth.
One day,
the pain will go away,
that's what they say.
Truth is,
I have to pay,
for loosing my way.
Almost a rebirth,
without the innocence of youth,
to be forced to stay,
when I just want to get away.
One day,
the pain will go away,
that's what they say.
Truth is,
it has to stay,
it's made me who I am today.
A form of rebirth,
without the innocence of youth,
to finally see the truth.
There is nothing worth,
the loss of innocence and youth.

Very good poem. And yes the pain never fully goes away but you can eventually move past it. Putting it in the back of your mind so that although never gone it doesnt hold you back in your life. Thank you so much for entering the poem into my contest, I deeply appreciate it.
