My son

I'll never know
you

You died

in a miscarriage
of injustice

in girlfriends
bloody flow

It wasn't time
you

knew

to give
me

the preciousness
of you

Author notes

When I was about 32-33 my girlfriend miscarried. It changed our relationship. The closeness was no longer there. When I was 28, my 37 year old soulmate died in a car accident. I understand your pain and hope that time can mend yours.

    HEARTFELT

I know exactly what this feels like. I lost my daughter 16yrs ago to a miscarriage. It destroyed my partner, in the end we split up...It changed everything. To me it feels like it was yesterday...when I look at my other children I often wonder what Megan would be like what she would be doing. The pain never goes away...just with time it becomes a more bearable ache.
Wishing you well always my friend
    Luv ~sweetness~ xx

      Thanks Michelle,

We seem to share similar pain and grief. I appreciate that you took the time to comment on it.

I'm really sorry to hear about you losing your son. So many people fail to realize that it can be just as hard on the father emotionally as it is on the mother.
The poem, althought not in a style im fond of, is really good. I very much enjoyed reading it and it is an honor that you put it in my contest. good luck

      Thank you

for sharing with me. Certain things seem never to get talked about. It is a release to speak freely of our tragedies.
