In my lifetime I have seen much
I have felt an ocean full of pain
Held the world on my shoulders since age fourteen
Raised by my sister
Fought battles and waged wars
In my lifetime, I have seen the losses
I have learned the game
Mastered the skill to survive
Held on to things I never had
Let go of things I should have cherished
Struggle is my lifetime
It is my legacy
Love has always been at a distance
Hope a fleeting dream
Nothing has filled my reality
Only dreams of successes and wants
A sky so full of wishes
Wishes that light the stars
How bright they are
None ever coming true
In my lifetime I have seen much
My lifetime is age twenty
I have seen and felt enough
Enough to fill one-hundred lifetimes
I still have much of a life left
A life to be filled with one thousand wishes come true
