Wings of Prayer

On the wings of prayer
our burdens take flight,
and our load of care
becomes bearably lighter;
and our hearts
are lifted above,
to be healed by the balm
of God's wonderful love.

And the tears in our eyes
are dried by the hands,
of a loving Father
who understands;
all of our problems,
our fears, and despair,
when we take them to Him
on the wings of prayer.

    Awesome!!!!! makes me feel so peaceful. I really needed this today. I was having a really bad day. This cheered me up. I love the part when we take them to him on the wings of a prayer

    So blatantly...Christian. (Though there's nothing wrong with that.)
    Leaves one with a verbal aftertaste of "sickly-sweet."
    You have undeniable raw talent, and the style so perfectly employed here could be applied to many different poems and situations.
