pink lilacs adorns her golden hair
where she lies beneath a mound of snow
on her bosoom she clutches grief and pain
that torments her soul wherever it may go.
There are no sons or daughters she can claim
no bewildered mourners or memories to reflect
twilight shadows creeps softly on the mound
have traveled down to show their lone respect.
Some womens hearts are consumed in fits of sadness
some seldom reach to lofty heights sublime
Those who can will reap rewards of gladness
and cherish them until the end of time.

I'm sorry but the contest is for 10 lines or less and you've exceeded the line limit. I do like your poem though. I'm sorry.

I like the poem a lot. Lots of nice imagery. Lovely.
One problem - 'untitled' is eight letters long, not seven, as requested in the contest. I'm sure there will be a seven letter word beginning with u that fits this poem wonderfully.

I have missed you also

Your poetry is so beautiful
The images you leave in my mind are amazing

I've been worried. I thought I'd lost my Diamond but I've found her again. She was quietly sitting there all the time and I couldn't see her because I wasn't looking for an untitled masterpiece. Now that I've found again and read her beautiful verse I'm reminded why I missed her when I thought I'd lost her. I also want to know more. I want to know what sadness drives her to write 'my' new treasure. I'm curious where she was while I was worrying about her. ---- Thank you (Avril - the one who was fashioned from quality, cut to perfection, polished and shines in romantic lighting.).
