Subfusc
[suhb-fuhsk]
1. subfuscous; dusky.
2. dark and dull; dingy; drab:
One of my fav. words, I think it rolls well from the tongue and belays its meaning. I've used it quite a lot in my poetry, with lines such as;
"and rainbow towns slip into subfusc"
