Sorry, I must be slow today. I had to look it up in the dictionary. And one that, I don't know if this was your intended meaning but, I found and really brought me back.
sat·u·rate/ to destroy (a target) completely with bombs and missiles.
It has my attention wether this is, or not, the meaning you had. The others do bring out a meaning of a life soaked.
