In One Life

In one life I was a shadow,
watching silently,
waiting for my turn,
to dance.

In one life I was an abandoned kitten,
inside was an innocent being,
unwanted because I was a stray.

In one life I was a flame,
blown out,
by the change in the wind.

In one life I was a blade,
the weapon used
to hurt others
who tried to hurt
the girl who owned me.

In one life I was smile,
ripped off by a submerging scream,
caused by the horror
of a nightmare.

In one life I was a thought,
that caused a man to be ridiculed.
He thought the world was round.

I have come into the world centuries too late.

Now to be emprisoned by the limited imaginations,

And cruel intentions of this uncaring society.

Once i had been there things,
and once again i have a bit of each,
in my soul.

wow this is a good poem, and i think that you can still have a tought and have it be herd by people, but not many people can make that big of a difference but i hope that you can

  • Ah, but there are still discoveries that will cause mankind to flinch. I hope that you find one of them, and when you do, you are not afraid to share it, whatever the consequences. Well written.
