Yes, Indeed a Challenge.....
1. What is your first and middle name?
Would you believe Roberto Edguardo, no? How about Randolph Edsel? or Ramon Enrique, okay I give.
How about Richard E.
2. Do you have any children? if so, age?
I have a son Richard III, age 19 who just completed his freshman year at college.
I have a daughter, Tonya Cheyenne, age 16, who completes her junior year in high school in a couple of weeks.
I also have a granddaughter, Shayla Dane', age 3 months, daughter of Tonya Cheyenne.
The kids mother and I were divorced in 1993, when the kids were 4 and 2. Their mother raised them, while we shared joint custody. So any good things aboout them, I must credit her with.
3. Do you have a form belief in "God"?
While I do not know what you mean by a form belief, I do believe in God. The God of Genesis through Revelation. However I am not convinced this is the only revelation of His self, rather that revelation be general or special in nature.
For a more detailed explanation of my beliefs send me a message as to what you would like to know, and I will gladly answer it.
4. What is your favorite season?
While spring ranks high upon my list, I must say the beauty of Autumn has always appealed to me the most. The colorations of God's handiwork in nature, the animals preparing for winter, the approaching holiday seasons all give pause for me to love this time of year. Plus it means were close to my birthday.
5. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Having traveled to over twelve different countries outside of the US already, I would love to still see Ireland. For it is a part of who I am, an ancestral home that is.
6. If you won a milllion dollars, what is the first thing you would do?
The first thing I would do is tithe to a worthy organization of my choosing. From there it would depend, for there are some dreams I have as well as some people who are close to my heart. I guess a meeting of the minds, followed with a season of prayer to see what Spirit would have me do.
7. Do you think marijuanna should be legalized for medicinal purposes?
Now this is the type of question I was looking for, LOL. Having been raised in an atmosphere where drugs were not known, nor condoned, I cannot endorse this idea.
However I would welcome an educated debate upon the subject to further enlighten myself. For sometimes in one's isolation, one only hears the negative of something perceived as evil, not the positives that may exist.
8. Do you agree that technology is over-rated? why or why not?
Yes i do agree with the statement wholeheartedly. For it has made us a society of overweight do nothings. Who only seek the fast food approach to life. Technology has the ability to benefit us greatly but at what price to ourselves?
Concurrently it raises a lot of questions, governmental monitoring, privacy violations, greater access to the evils of the world by the youngest among us are among them.
9. If you could give up your own life just to save someone else...would you?
Without a doubt, as a father I can answer that. No not simply the act of becoming a father makes it so, but to grow as they do, realizing their value outside of myself, learning true love for them as independant beings all contribute to that.
There is one other I would unhesitantly lay my life down for. Who is as much a part of myself as one can be to not be a part of my family. While I cannot disclose who or the nature of that relationship, I know it is so beyond doubt within my being.
Outside of these three people, as much as I would like to say yes to anyone else, noone knows the actions they would take in any situation. Having seen death up close several times, I do believe I could even offer it for a stranger. The only other circumstance I know for sure would be in defense of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
10. Why do you think society began to view "slim" as being beautiful and 'overweight' as being ugly and unacceptable?
Where the media and the money goes, so goes the nation. For unfortunately you can fool alot of the people alot of the time.
It takes a very strong person to not fall for this lie of society. I have found the overweight among us to be the most guilty of this horrible crime though.
In my own life, I have also fought myself over this issue. For I am a man of big stature, not fat but big. However I am not a fan of my body at all.
