Meandering through Milky Way each night,
undulates it’s descent to world below
while slithers lore’s eternal knowledge bright
past dewdrops’ prisms on morning’s blooms grow.
Scales ripple along surface of spring’s stream,
chanting each curve of wise water’s journey
through parched land refreshed with rainbow’s daydream,
serpent reshapes universe that eyes see.
Man on river’s bank rests while he dips gourd
to renew strength from travel across lands,
swirls celestial song through vision’s chord,
in awareness’ droplets, he understands.
Flows forever through rivulets of rain,
rainbow serpent still lives through life’s refrain.

Absolutely beautiful. Stuning. I love this story, I read it while researching for this contest, but you have captured the rainbow escence of it somehow and it's amazing.

This is a beautiful poem, full of wonderful imagery and interesting history/legend
I really like the picture that you chose to go with it too - but your words are what gives it life and makes it brilliant
- good luck in the contest!
