Alright Then, Here Come the Answers, LOL,

1.)Do you fall asleep as soon as you climb into bed or do you read or do anything else first?

As a signle man, who works between 60-70 hours a week, not to mention my own activities aside from work, what is sleep? Seriously I get so little of it, I do not consider it a part of life.
When I go to bed, I am so exhausted I normally fall asleep with ease. However it is also the time of night I usually get to talk to one I hold. So sometimes my sleeping hours are spent on the phone, LOL.
A normal nights rests is 2-4 hours except on Saturday night, which i will allow myself to sleep as long as I desire.
Ater five years of bachelorhood, I have no other frame of reference for your question, I am afraid. Hope that answers you though.

2.) Do you like pets? If so,what pet would be perfect for you?

I do love pets, and have had an array of them through the years. I would love to have a couple of dogs again. Ones that would cloimb up in the back of the truck and ride along through the pasture if I allowed them too. I love choclate labs, and would love to have one or even a golden retriever as well.

3.) Where is your ideal vacation spot?

The hill country of central Texas, I would surmise. Having seen so much of this world in my life, Texas speaks to me in ways no other has. In the hill country, I can commune with nature, yet still be close enough to the cities of Austin and the like to enjoy the social and cultural scenes. i am at ease in both rural and urban life, but will always make my home amongst the countryside.

4.) If money were no object, what kind of vehicle would you drive?

That one is easy, a one ton Chevrolet Dually Crew Cab. that is the one with four full size doors, and is long as a horse trailer almost. It would have to have a towing package, with heavy springs and equipped with trailer brakes. It would also have to have a fifth wheel connection mounted in the bed.
Most imprtantly, it would have to be a five speed, with the gearshift mounted in the floor. Where a woman would have to straddle it with her legs, just to set close.
I prefer a dark emerald green in color, however as long as it had a state of the art sound system with which to play my music collection, I would not care.

5.) What dream of your heart are you most afraid to pursue?

To change jobs, to retire from the endless trucking. For at my age, career changes are no longer easily done, yet I am still young by societies standards. i would love to own my own company.

6.) Who is the most influencial person is your life?

There are a few who come to mind, however of you gauge it based on someone actively present it woul =d have to be my father Richard Sr.
His quiet strength, single-mindness of will, dry wit and generosity of spirit speaks to me daily. Everyday we have with him is borrowed and has been for some time. I try to live with that awareness, knowing how blessed I am.

7.) What would you say to the person who has done the most wrong to you in your life if you knew that they would take whatever you say to heart?

I forgive you, come let us continue on this walk of life.

8.) What is the first thing you look at when you meet a new person, man or woman?

I was always taught to look a man in the eyes, and extend a hearty firm handshake with a sincere greeting.

With a woman, I notice the length of her legs as well as her hair. The depth of her eyes speak to me next, as I try to gauge something about her, should I care to speak.

9.) Would you rather live in the city or the country? Why?

The country, for I am a child of it. A man who has a rspect for and an abiding love of the land.

10.) What is the best memory that you have from your childhood?

Knowing I was loved generally speaking. Specifically, the feeling of having found myself the first time I gave a speech. The ability to hold a crowd or individual in the palm of my hand with only my voice meant alot to a shy awkward teenager, who thought he was ugly and beyond anyone's desire.

11.) Do you consider yourself a Christian?

Yes, in the sense that i believe in the personhood and ministry of Christ. However i believe organized religion is too often a cloak and mask alot of us put on only on Sundays. Taking it off when it suits us the remainder of the week.

12.) What would you wear on a first date?

Jeans, starched. A button down western shirt heavily starched with the creases sharp on the arms. Boots, freshly shined and polished, with a hat of course. i am always aware of color combinations and whats looks right together. A rangers belt with conchos enbedded throughout the length.

Of a formal date, then a tie and blazer to match, of course.

13.) What do you consider a romantic gift?

One that comes from the heart and speaks to a detail known of another. For example not roses but rose petals, to sweeten one's bath water.

14.) If you had a whole day free and money were no object, what would you do with it?

Fly to Georgia, sit in a mall and gaze upon the closest definition I have found to a touch of the divine here on earth. All the time quietly reading from a book of poetry, while she worked never noticing my presence.

15.) If you just found out that you won a million dollars, what is the first thing you would do?

Tithe by making a donation of 10 percent to a worthy organization of my choosing.
