Fun-house Revalations

three-dimensional sight
among two-dimensional mirrors
presents a vision of
the fun-house
without
the fun

contorted intentions
hiding truth's
inconvenient facts
with fantastic
exaggerations
ego so desperately
attempts to believe

that which does not
reflect the light
completely
is truth

I'm not sure if it was the poem or the hugh bold print that makes this as powerful as everyone says. Is this poem truth or is is contorted perception of spritiuality? I'll have to think about this; we may have another debate on the horizion. You better explain it to the judge or you just blew this contest.

    • The poem is about how people create big elaborate illusions so that they can disguise their true intentions. I submitted that you can tell what is a ruse and what is truth because the illusion will be bright and perfectly defined. The truth is always softer and more pale. Not as defined as the fun-house mirror images because what is real absorbes some of the light. Thanks for caring.

I thought this was very powerful. I liked the ending. It made me think of how sometimes there is more to things than meets the eye and sometimes people have to look deeper than just sight to uncover truth in life. Thanks for sharing and best of luck in the contest.

Ok poem doesn't make a lot of since to me plz explain
    • People often disguise the truth with bold lies so distorted that it becomes hard to tell the difference of where reality stops and the disguise begins. You can tell because the lies are too perfect in their representation. The truth is softer and less defined. If it looks too perfect, it probably is.
