Do you know what its like
to stand on a stage
arms frozen to your sides
bright lights
you don't know anything?
All you know is the shame
thousand eyes
on a body no longer your own
never was
your heart slams its rebellion
but you lost all rights
to be your own possession.
Your mind
swollen in its confines
pulses to the point of breakage
keep your body numb
for the sake of wholeness
to shatter
(a right no longer yours)
with the audience applause
with the finale of possessed.

Still need to work on the ending.
I used to hate the flicker of an almost-dream just before I actually fall asleep. These almost-dream were usually worse than anything I'd ever actually dream. (usually). Until this one, though, I didn't know they were reflections of what I was going through and feeling at the moment.
So I decided to write what I saw, in the hopes that writing it would reveal more of what I was thinking/feeling.

Think you put the question mark in the wrong place in the beginning:

Sounded a bit off placed there. But makes sense if you remove it.
I like this piece, though. Made me think of ballerinas in a weird way. Quite possibly because of an episode of Angel called "Waiting in the Wings" about a girl forced to dance for centuries to appease a man obsessed with her. Feels fitting.
The ending does need some work but.. not really sure on what it needs. Maybe a look at what happens after the finale?
Either way, great job.
