When I Touch You

As I touch your supple skin I feel warmth
in a sensation well beyond any words.
The downy cover of your soul in a beauty
that even the Greek gods could not resist.

I a mere mortal man stand before you in awe
my heart fluttering before your oval orbs
wondering if you are some kind of angel.
My soul begging for only the chance of a kiss.

Is there some way the chalice of your soul
could pour the contents of you into the deep
lonely chasms of my empty inner being?
I cannot help but pray that this could come true.

If only I could wear you in a spiritual way
allowing the warmth of your beauty
to glow deep within my heart every day.
I lose myself in musings of this all day.

    A Poet You Are

This is a beautifully written poem; yet, I feel it misses the mark of meeting the prompt of being merely a garment we wear. Nevertheless, the writing is quite beautiful!

    Much love in Christ, BonnieQ
