Rare and common

Fantastical creatures,
All shapes, sizes, and forms.
Insects, marsupials, aquatics.
Myrmecobiidae, Didelphiidae, and Tachyglossidae.

Rare, common, unknown.
They share our world, we pay them no mind.
They have long lived here;
Building, consuming, pro-creating.

We selfishly

take their homes,
take their food,
take their lives.

But aren't we also animals?

Author notes

Myrmecobiidae- Numbats
Didelphiidae- Opossums
Tachyglossidae- Echidnas

Mistakes? Improvements that need to be made? Tips and tricks? I'd like some advice please.
