Beethoven's Fifth
Balloons!
Fireworks!
Smiles
laughter
tears
a hug
understanding
acceptance
Not all journeys
do we make together,
not all roads
do we share.
Not every destination
can we make with each other
for hellos
and goodbyes
are a recurring theme
in the lives of us all.
Time
is precious
and as hourglasses
pour out,
sands
of memories
filter into
what we choose to keep
and what we choose to let go.
May you remember me
with some of the fondness
that I remember you.
I was completely lost
when I came here.
You helped me learn
form, navigation, and
taught me
some of my voice
and for that
I am grateful.
