Organic Conscious Photons

When a photon is fired and goes through a slit.
How does it know that it can go to an area that is dark and unlit?
It could easily go through another that is open showing light.
Why does it go where there is only darkness in sight?
If consciousness is associated with quantum processes,
as the photo electric effect proves there are photons.
It also appears that in the double slit experiment,
the photons "know" whether or not both slits are open.
Though, it may seem enigmatic.
Since organic beings such as animals and people process information and act accordingly, could the photons  be organic?

    thanks Mary!

You Know this poem reminds me of my graduation days. Ah! I did this double slit experiment during my second year. That was amazing. Observing those dark and bright rings, taking data.....but that was not so amazing as this poem of yours is. I am reading this It takes me to the Dark Room of my physics lab...... dark and bright co-centric rings

Thanks Mary for writing this poem!

Thanks for reading, Jeet. That's so cool that you did the double slit experiment during your second year of school. Must have been really cool. I mean, I've read about it, but to actually see it done up close and observe what goes on would be amazing. Glad to have reminded you of your physics class days.

      Peace and blessings,

      Haley Mary

    Very interesting

A very interesting thesis Haley, the "concious"
communication between quantum particles is being explored in some scientific circles the anticipatory relationship is already established.
Slightly off subject in my "Our Floral Friends"
poem I examine the possibility of plants feeling pain interesting? Best Wishes ...George...

Thanks, George. Yeah, I imagine the conscious communication between particles would be studied in scientific circles. Reminds me of something a friend of mine was talking about a few days ago, about how just because scientists may not be able to explain exactly how everything works in life, like past life memories or people having near death experiences and being able to recall details of the operation that they wouldn't be able to know about, should all be taken in an open minded point of view because science can't completely explain things either as being something real or not real yet. Plants could very well feel pain, if photons of light were to shine on the plants somewhere. Thanks for commenting and sharing your thoughts.

      Peace and blessings,

      Haley Mary

Thanks so much. Yeah, the Dancing Wu Li Masters is a really good book. I got it from a library, so I don't know what book stores a person could find it, but probably your standard Smith books or Cole's would have it. Thanks so much for commenting.

    -peers at poem in wonder-

I will be honest I looked at the title and chuckled a bit to myself. I have always found such things interesting, but never before have I ever explored such ideas through poetry. You always surprise me with your works. I love this one. It creates many possibilities with each single question, and sends my brain in to "I wonder.." mode. Amazing write and well thought out. -cheers-

Thanks. Yeah, I realize the title probably sounds a bit strange at first glance. I posted this on my channel and let's just say I got some very interesting reviews. Sometimes I wonder if my writes are a little too deep in thought or just too plain strange and wacky for people to fathom. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Cheers to you, as well.

Thanks, Desire. I'm not sure if the book can be found online or not. I'm borrowing the book from the library right now so it's possible you could find the book at a local library. I know how it is with books. Even I prefer to borrow a book to read it if it's available at a library rather than buy it from a store which would probably be a waste of time since most books I only read once anyway. I will try to write more if my mind gets inspired. I've got more reading to do so inspiration shouldn't be too far away.

      Always appreciate your comments.

You make science so much fun to read. I never learned this much from school books! Love, Lane

Thanks so much, Lane. I wasn't too sure about this when I first posted it, but your comment makes me feel better about this piece. I never learned much about this stuff in school books, either. In fact just earlier today I was talking to one of my subscribers about how youtube gives people the opportunity to present an opinion that the mainstream media wouldn't ever represent. Schools also can limit a person's area of knowledge as well, if they don't allow them access to some books. I know that before I started reading about quantum physics and cosmology I never expected science of the atoms to be so interesting. My biology teacher's way of teaching always made atoms and their nuclei a bore.

      I appreciate the comment.
