Mothers Turn

I wait with best foot forward, on the one who reads
those great stories and wiggles forward and back.
Rocking, jump and stand-up wake me up the most,
I kick about it but seem to be ignored most of the time.

I remain fascinated by the vibration and singing
"I am a little tea pot short and stout", maybe
understanding will follow later. The least enjoyed
event happens during sit down and breathe heavy,
cramps my style.  Playtime is restricted by space
available; televised golf holds interesting descriptions
and life with Martha Stewart bores me to tears.

The food is something that tightens space, while
she is eating for two, gives me heart burn.
I fail to grasp the mother thing, sobs and complains
over everything and seldom laughs like when I was
younger, you know nine or ten weeks. I am just
waiting on the right moment to stick my head
out and yell surprise, let the games begin.

That pic is amazing!! That lil foot is so cute!! Normally that would freak me out, pregnancy freaks me out lol.. where the heck did my maternal instinct go

But I digress... your poem is completely entertaining!! I enjoyed every bit of it! Brilliantly written from the perspective of the unborn child!!

    How fabulous!!

    Outstanding

This shows a vivid imagination. I can see the baby gradually getting bigger (and suffering from heart burn). I thought this poem was full of originality and I liked the ending. It is great to read a poem that sees life in a fresh and exciting way. This poem is full of unexpected ideas and is very entertaining to read. Best of luck in the contest.

This was lovely... I really loved it and i could really relate to it! although i havent been getting kicks yet.. but i can feel my kid turning about sometimes, its amazing

and i try to keep myself happy all the time.. good endorphines are better for baby!... so i listen to my favourite music all the time and sing!

I was told that during pregnancy if you listen to the same music over and over, when your baby's born the same music will relax the baby, isn't that amazing?

    ...xxx

thank you for entering and good luck in my contest...xxx
