This moon is full of everything
I long too touch,
stars shine my every wish upon
the dust of night;
I reach for you in every shadow,
only to come up empty-handed.
My pen weeps words that will
take too long to find you.
Songs leave impressions upon
this aching soul; sing of
the way you make me feel alive.
Sad eyes take in this vast expanse
of black sky between us,
the miles of cold, hard earth that
seperate here from there;
and holds the love of you at bay.
I've shed so many tears at midnight,
when the ache of a half-empty bed
is too much to swallow. When the
creak of springs is from the turn of
my own heaviness,
and not from satiated hipbones &
the click of the purest rhapsody.
Oh how I wish my thighs wrapped
your waist, and your fingertips
traced their curves. My palms
could cup that gentle face, and kiss
the vessel that contains the voice
I've longed to feel whisper, so soft.
My love, I hope this finds you well.
That you know how I swell
with the desire to fan these flames
higher and higher; to heights
never before known by human flesh.
Know that my love waits here,
ever impatient and unyielding.
