In the ruble of a once great nation
It stands alone with expectation
A man that wonders this cold land
Through the deserts filled with sand
Everywhere that he has been
Death, destruction it has seen
Why must this be its just not fair
These thoughts he ponders but cannot bare
The mother cries with angst and pain
The father tries just to keep sane
For every step that he must take
The mother prays for his life sake
In the distance he can see
The home that holds his family

To hold and kiss his sweet Vivian
By this time he is on his knees
Asking god that he just please
To strengthen him just once more
So that he may reach the door
He then stands and begins to run
But feels his legs weigh a tonne
He ignores it all and just goes on
Before all he has is forever gone
He opens the door and lets in the breeze
Looking in with teary eyes he sees
The baby is born, it is a boy
For the last time they both feel joy
He says his last words to his wife
"I had loved you for all of my life
And I'm sorry it now comes to an end
Fate or luck i could not bend"
Destruction had come their way
It is here that on this day
A man, his son, and Vivian
Endured together through Oblivion.
