Taking Lives, Taken Love

She waited that one night
For her lover to arrive
She made him a candle lit dinner
A small dessert to the side

The food was baked with love
The room light well adjusted
For her to make the final move
But then her heart was busted

She waited and waited
But he never came
So she drove down to the office
On Jury handle lane

There she went up to his room
It was on the second floor
Then she found him kissing his secretary whore

He looked up from their position, yelled

“Grace, it isn’t what it seems!”

But she knew it was a lie
It only made her scream

She ran out of the door
And down to her lonely car
Drove off into the distance
Looking desperately at a star

“God please forgive me for what I’m about to do,
And give my friends strength…
Promise to love them too.”

She pulled into her garage
Then closed the big metal door
Took one final breath
Cried for what was in store

With all her sadness and rage
She placed herself in the freezer

She didn’t know he was a cheater

As the temperature dropped
She cried herself to sleep

“I hope you find me frozen, you dirty rotten cheap!”

Her tears began to freeze
Her heart finally stopped
The saddest thing was…
He didn’t care to look for her
After they had fought

A few weeks later
Her school sweetheart came to visit
He asked around the town for her
But couldn’t seem to place it

He drove up to her house
Knocked upon her door
The guy found it suspicious
He called her the day before

The place looked way too gloomy
For a happy soul like her
Why didn’t she answer when he knocked?
He thought she would for sure

After a few minutes
He made his way to the back
Worked into the garage
Found a fridge in fact

The air seemed way too chilly
The place was way too dark
That fridge seemed to call to him
His name was beckoned and harked

He stepped on over to it
And opened up the door
The thing that he saw before him
Was never seen before

There she laid in all her grace
Tears still in her eyes
He had never thought that she would end her life
Of course it made him cry

With all his might he pulled her out
Carried her stiff body through the house
And laid her on the bed

He took the plastic wrap from the kitchen
Then wrapped it around his head
As lying down beside her
He whispered in her ear

“Darling I’m so sorry for this, I wish that you were here.”

With that final breath
His air ran out so fast
But he didn’t care the slightest bit
He was with her at last…

I am sorry about your aunt. That was quite a twist, the freezer. I thought for sure she was going to go back and kill both of them.

This was very well written but yet what a sad story.
    Two lives just wasted.
    Good Luck in the contest.
